Template Studio

Reproducing your existing document design.

Your invoices already look a certain way. Template Studio reproduces that rather than asking you to accept a generic layout.

How it works

Upload an invoice you already send, as a PDF or an image. A vision model extracts the structure: layout, colours, fonts, where the logo sits, where the line-item table goes. The result is an editable template.

You refine it in a visual editor. No markup required, though the underlying template is HTML if you want it.

Regions

A template is composed of regions, and each is handled differently:

  • Crop keeps a piece of the original image exactly as-is, for a letterhead or a stamp that must not be redrawn.
  • Overlay places generated text over the original.
  • Recreate rebuilds the region as real markup, so it reflows.
  • Items table is the line-item loop that expands per row.

Mixing them is normal: keep the letterhead as a crop, recreate the body.

Versions and defaults

Templates are versioned, so you can revert. Each business and each branch can have its own default.

You can duplicate, rename and archive. Archiving keeps existing invoices rendering correctly; deleting a template in use is refused.

Preview

Every template previews as a real PDF against real data before you make it the default. Check the line-item loop with more rows than fit on one page, which is where layouts usually break.
