Businesses and branches
How an instance is divided up.
One Suvi instance can hold several businesses. This matters if you run more than one company, or one company with distinct trading arms.
The hierarchy
Business is the top-level entity. Each has its own logo, signature, tax defaults and product catalogue. Invoices are issued by a business.
Branch sits under a business. Branches carry their own stock and can have their own invoice numbering and template defaults.
Warehouse sits under a branch and holds physical stock.
Switching
Suvi tracks which business you are working in and applies it to everything you ask for. Say "switch to Gulf Traders" and subsequent stock and invoice questions resolve against that business.
There is an aggregate view across all businesses for owners, useful for cash and receivables. It is read-only by design: writes always target one business.
Who sees what
Members are scoped to the businesses they are given. A member working in one branch does not see another branch's stock or margins.
Cost visibility is separate from business access. See roles and permissions.
