Inventory and warehouses
Multi-level stock, products and attributes.
Suvi's inventory is a warehouse management system rather than a product list. It tracks quantity by location, movement over time, and cost.
Products and attributes
A product belongs to a business. Beyond the standard fields, you define your own attributes: grade, origin, carat, size, whatever your trade actually uses. These are real fields, filterable and reportable, not notes.
Products can carry media, and support dual currency with live exchange rates for businesses that buy and sell in different currencies.
Stock movements
Stock is not a number you edit. It is a ledger of movements, so any quantity can be explained. Receipts, sales, transfers between warehouses and adjustments all appear with who made them and when.
Credit-aware holds
Stock can be held against an unpaid invoice rather than deducted. The hold releases and the stock fulfils automatically when the invoice is paid in full. This stops the common failure where goods are committed twice because the first commitment was only in someone's head.
Getting data in
Most businesses start from a spreadsheet. See importing a spreadsheet, which covers the preview and review flow, and the live sync that keeps a sheet and Suvi in step.
Asking about it
Stock questions work in chat. "How much 3ct rough do we have in Colombo" resolves against the current business without you opening the dashboard.
